Dear PMSC members

We are off to a great start this season despite the issues around pool availability. We had a good turnout of 15 people at the meeting on Monday night at the Pickering Rec Complex where we outlined the upcoming season. Twelve swimmers showed up at the Pan Am pool on Tuesday night.  In addition to our swim, we did a short dry land warm up.

1. we have one more workout at the Pickering Rec Complex on Thursday, Sept. 17. The repairs have been done at Dunbarton, and we will be having our regular practice this Saturday, Sept. 19^th at Dunbarton.
2. when travelling to the Tuesday workouts at Pan Am, please allow more time to get to the pool as there is a road construction project on Morningside Ave. at Tams Rd./Pan Am Dr. (this is the entrance to the Pan Am facility) that will slow down drivers. 3. A new parking system is being put in place now at the Pan Am for both the north and east parking lots.  Both lots have been busy the past week with the return of UofT students who are able to park for free with the gates up. We expect that the new parking system will be in place in time for the next Pan Am workout on Tuesday, Sept. 22. PMSC members will continue to receive two hours of complimentary parking.

5. For insurance purposes, the Club requires potential and returning members to preregister online. This is mandatory even for those who would like to do a free trial swim with club.
