Paddles
  Paddles should be 10-15% bigger than your hand. It is important not to over size especially if you are a beginner
Boards
  Good to have even if most pools have loaners
Pull Buoys
   An important piece of equipment. Two piece i.e. with adjustable strap are nice as they allow for different thigh sizes.
